With over 37 years of experience, Davy has competed at a high level, earning individual back-to-back U.S. National Fly Fishing Championship titles and ranking as high as 5th in the World. Beyond competitions, he has authored best-selling fly fishing books, taught workshops, and served as captain for Fly Fishing Team USA. Davy's love for fly fishing is contagious, and he continues to inspire others to level up their game.

DENNY RICKARDS

Professional Guide; Author; Stillwater Specialist

Denny Rickards, with over thirty years of experience, has guided anglers through challenging trophy trout waters in the Western United States. His simplistic approach and presentation techniques have led to impressive catches: browns over 20 pounds, cutthroats up to 15 pounds, and rainbows exceeding 16 pounds. Beyond guiding, Denny spends 250 days a year immersed in his passion—writing, fly tying, and field testing tackle. His suggestive fly patterns grace outdoor magazines and the Cushners Fly Fishing Museum in Florence, Oregon. His books and companion videos are revered as the “bibles” for fly fishing lakes. When not on the water, he delves into trout behavior and habitat, sharing his knowledge through fly fishing schools and clinics, enriching the angling experiences of fellow enthusiasts.

FRANK BURR

Frank Burr learned fly fishing and fly tying in summer school at the early age of 7. A native of Southern California, Frank fly fishes throughout the state. Although Trout is his favorite species, he will fly fish for any species just to get in a day of fishing. Frank has worked in the fly fishing industry for the past 5 years and is also a fly fishing, fly tying, and casting instructor. Also a fly fishing guide, mainly in the Easter Sierra, Frank targets his guiding for CDFW Heritage Trout and Angler Passport programs to help anglers obtain those awards. Frank also spends time each year donating his help to youth programs and Trout in the Classroom to help educate youths in fly fishing and related subjects.

Frank Selby, an avid fly fisherman, began his angling journey as a young boy in Missouri, where streams captured his heart, especially those in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Alaska. After relocating to Huntington Beach, California, in 1955, he discovered his love for saltwater fly fishing. Frank’s expertise spans freshwater and saltwater fishing worldwide. As the owner of His And Hers Fly Shop and co-host of Fish, Hunt, Talk Radio, he continues to share his passion with others.
